I have no experience of Protonmail, in fact I had never heard of it <br>
before and until I just now checked it out and I had no idea what is it <br>
supposed to be good for; however it seems to be legit.<br>

The thing that smells bad here is their reluctance to release the imap <br>
bridge as open source! Could it be that their encryption is not as <br>
secure as it should be and they are ashamed of showing up the source?<br>
<br>
I'd stay away from that kind of provider.<br>
