You are right that this is one of the key features for our Indian users and that we have been unable to provide this yet. We recently checked the font support available at <a href="https://fedorahosted.org/lohit/" target="_blank">https://fedorahosted.org/lohit/</a> and hope to take this up by the next iteration.<br>
