Ah, what a surprise, I remember you from the opensync project. It was maybe
2006.

I am using syncevolution all the time - it is working fantastic - why should
I give up something that is working ... and it is not made out of metal
that rust.

I think your input is precious. Thank you!

I want just to mention that for the beginning it is important to save what
we have now and for the future we can consider all these complex use cases,
you both were describeing. At the end it is better to have something small
and useful - perhaps with limitted functionality, than great ideas and
nothing useful.

Since when I started syncing the N9 in 2012 I never had a single issues - of
course very limitted use case (1 phone - 1 PC), but very useful.
On the PC I have multiple address books and calendars for other phones etc.
I can easily copy contacts, do a diff or whatever to keep them in sync and
then propagate back to the phones with consequent syncs.
