[SailfishDevel] What does Html5 App Support exactly mean?

Hi everyone, 
I see platforms, Sailfish OS too, list that they support HTML5 apps, but i dont understand what do they mean exactly.
Does it mean:- Supporting HTML5 on a web browser?- Having a WebView component with html5 rendering capability?- Supporting app development with html5 and javascript?
