I'd try this out on a N9 with Nemo.
I suspect it will behave very similar due to the shared middleware
between Nemo and Sailfish.

I also took a look at this and from my investigation DBus looks most
promising. But StateFS might be worth a look too. (It replaces
ContextKit that was used under Harmattan)
